Genre hub

PC game genres, subgenres, and play-loop guides.

Genre labels are useful when they are paired with the reason someone wants to play. This hub groups the PC GameDex guide library by broad genre, systems-heavy play, and mood-based searches so players can start with a readable editorial page before tuning a request in Discovery.

Each linked guide includes fit notes, skip notes, recommendation rules, catalog-backed picks, and related guide paths. The goal is to make the browsing page itself useful, not just a doorway to a search box.

Start with the activity

A player asking for an RPG may care about builds, party choices, loot, exploration, story, or combat. A player asking for strategy may want tactics, city planning, colony survival, or factory logistics. The most useful genre page starts by naming that activity.

Then add pressure and mood

Difficulty, horror, grind, co-op dependence, complexity, session length, and story pacing can change a good match into a bad one. PC GameDex guides keep those tradeoffs visible before a player opens Discovery.
